About KD

I'm Kathryn-Diane Kanz, but you can call me K.D. My husband, Peter, and I own lot 15 and 16. We grew up in south central Alabama. We are new to the community but not quite there yet. For the past 13 years, we have lived in Alaska, now we have plane tickets to come down and start work on one lot soon. We're looking forward to being back in Alabama with our family. I'm currently serving on boards here in Alaska, as President of a Baseball-Softball Booster Club and just finished my term of trustee for my local VFW auxiliary. I have also served in other capacities including secretary, vice president, president, trustee, and general member, with many 501(c)(3) organizations and state consultant for youth ministries. I have also been a part of starting 3 of those organizations. One of which is now serving more than 5,800 families in Alaska and thriving after 11 years of sustained and thriving growth. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to connect with the community and its people. I'm eager to get involved and lend a hand. I'll be arriving in September with two of my boys, and Peter will be there in August with our oldest son. We are looking forward to meeting y'all and seeing HS grow and have common goals to be an outstanding area in the community.
