About Jason

My name is Jason Jones, and I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for a position on our Homeowners Association Board. A little about me: I have been a business owner for 22 years and am a proud father of five—three boys and twin girls, all currently in high school, with the twins as freshmen. My wife, Tanja, and I are in the process of building our dream home on Lot 40, near the launch ramp. Our long-term plan is to spend about seven months each year here in the Highland Shores community once our children are in college, and the remaining five months at our home in Costa Rica. I was born and raised in Southern California and have always had a deep connection to the water. So Naturally, I look forward to spending the rest of my life either on the lake or in the ocean. This is one of the reasons I am so excited about becoming part of this community. I believe that being surrounded by like-minded individuals who share a love for nature and the water enhances both happiness and overall well-being. We chose to build in the Highland Shores community because of its proximity to Jasper, the convenience of the launch ramp, and our belief that Clear Creek is the quietest and most beautiful area on the lake. I am interested in serving on the Board because I value listening to homeowners and making thoughtful, transparent decisions. I understand that serving on the Board is both a responsibility and a commitment, and I am prepared to dedicate the time and effort necessary to represent the best interests of our community. My priorities would include finding ways to enhance our community’s appearance, support and increase property values, encourage open communication between the Board and homeowners, and ensure that decisions are made with transparency and the long-term interests of the community in mind.
